This marbled Baked Yeast Donut Recipe only takes about half an hour from start to finish. Baking them is so much easier, healthier and fun than frying. Have you ever craved a chocolate donut and a vanilla donut at the same time? With this baked yeast donut recipe you can have both! I’m not a huge fan of marbled anything.
I mean, I usually prefer to have a chocolate and a vanilla cake instead of a hybrid that combines both. Because, I usually prefer to enjoy each flavor by itself – ya know? In my opinion, when you combine both things into one you usually end up with a rather boring treat and none of the flavors shine as they should be shining.
I’m also not generally a fan of making donuts. So intimidating. So much mess and oil and work. These donut pans have pretty much entirely changed the way I think about donut now. So. much. easier. and they taste great and the clean up is so much better too!
So in my donut-making quests, I used to stick with only one flavor, until one chilly fall afternoon I found myself craving both flavors and without enough time or ingredients to make two different batches. Because honestly, when it comes to baking -who wants to make 2 full batches, right?
That’s when I decided to give marbled donuts a try – and the truth is I fell hard and fast in love with this baked yeast donut recipe. Actually, I fell so hard in love that I’m still kicking myself for not trying this any sooner. That’s how good, and how mouthwatering, and how incredibly delicious this baked yeast donut recipe is.
For me the reason why this recipe is so good is because each one of the flavors shines – and I really mean it. You can really taste the chocolate in the chocolate swirls and the vanilla in the vanilla ones so instead of ending up with a hybrid that somewhat combines both flavors you end up with a donut that has 2 very distinct parts.
The other reason why I love this so much is that’s sweet without being overpowering, which I believe is also the reason why both flavors shine so much. Trust me when I say you’ll find yourself making this recipe every weekend.
