These snowflake cookies only have three ingredients and are so fun and easy to make! No baking required.
Prep Time:20 minutes
Total Time:20 minutes
Yield:10 cookies 1x
1 Package Cheap Butter Cookies
1 Package Candy Canes ((or a medium-sized bag of starlight mints))
A few blocks of almond bark or white candy coating, or about two cups white candy coating melts
Lay down a sheet of waxed paper.
Arrange seven butter cookies with one in the middle and six around it. Make sure they’re all touching the center cookie.
Crush two or three candy canes or a few handfuls of starlight mints into a rough dust. Put it in a bowl nearby so it’s easy to grab.
Melt a block of almond bark or a few handfuls of candy melts in the microwave until they’re a very hot, very runny liquid.
Use a spoon or a craft paint brush to spread the melted candy onto the cookies. Start with all the places the cookies touch. This will join them into a sturdy snowflake shape. Try not to move the cookies during this step.
Spread more melted candy so the snowflake is more or less covered.
Sprinkle the snowflake with crushed peppermint before the melted candy dries. You can press it down a little if you want to make sure it’s sticking.
Let the cookies set for 2-3 minutes. Loosen them from the waxed paper with a spatula.
